Florianopolis is the capital and 2nd biggest city of the “Santa Catarina” state; it is situated in the South part of Brazil. The History of “Florianopolis”:

Indians of the state “Tupi-Guarani” were the first residents of Florianopolis. The hints of its presence are confirmed from archaeological sites. After that many people arrived here and developed the city. Different people gave different names to the city but finally it got the name “Florianopolis”.
